So, just this past weekend, Leah has started saying Na-Na...which apparently is her words for Mama..since everytime I leave a room, she starts screaming, "Na-na-na-na"... All we have heard for the last 2 months was Da-da-da-da-da-da.... So, I guess Na-Na is a step in the right direction :) Today we had our first snow day of the year! We had an early out yesterday. We just bummed around. I went out and shoveled this morning (first time I've shoveled since 2 winters ago since last winter I was preggers). I think Eric was glad that I could shovel again. I'm weird, I like to shovel. But today was A LOT of snow... but I got it done in about an hour.. got some laundry done, we played a lot with Leah (which now consists of walking her around holding her hands, and CONSTANTLY watch her pull herself up to everything and then fall!), made some beer bread, got caught up on our DVR'd shows, and got my checkbook balanced (to the penny!) :) So, its back to reality tomorrow!... Hoping for a 2 hr late start, but probably not going to happen!
This weekend, we had our staff Christmas Party at our prinipal's house. It was really fun, but of course I forgot to take my camera. Eric's parents came down on Friday to babysit Leah while we had the party. I also had to go to David's Bridal on Saturday to try on bridesmaid dresses. Rachel picked one out! So, something else checked off her to-do list. So, Grandpa and Grandma Gabe got to watch Leah while I went and did that. Eric had to ref a tournament in Norwalk. Not much else to report. We are on our last dose of amoxicillin for leah's ears. We got back Monday to get her flu shot, and hopefully she's in the clear for anything else.. We are currently in a winter weather advisory as we're supposed to get up to 10 inches of snow between now and Tuesday.. yuck! So maybe an early out or no school tomorrow! :) And what you all look on here for.. some random pictures of Leah from the last week!
Leah turned nine months on Christmas Day. We didn't have her 9 month check up until Dec. 29.. and as I already said in the previous post, she had double ear infections... not fun... but good news-- She slept last night in her own bed the WHOLE night.. woke up about 12:30 crying..but cuddled with Mom for about 20 mins and then went back to sleep...and slept until 9 this morning!!!! Clearly, she was tired..and we were all glad for the good night sleep! Stats from the appointment: Weight 18 lbs 2 oz (39%) Height 28 inches ((67%) Head Circumference: 18 (91%)
Some milestones we've hit-- we have 2 teeth! The two middle ones on the bottom. We are crawling more... but not really the conventional way-- she will if she has to get something she really wants.. but otherwise, we're pretty content just staying in one spot (fine by us while our Christmas tree is up!) She has just started to really pull herself up on things (especially us). She's getting more and more brave standing on her own. She's mastered "So big", saying Da-Da, loves to do patty cake, and can wave "Bye" to people. We like to eat crackers all by ourselves. Crazy how fast the time is going, and I know she'll be walking before we know it!
