The Gabe Family: 2 week appointment

Well, goodness, Uncle Tyler has informed me that it has been 9 days since an update, and you would think with me not working that I could find an extra 20 minutes in the day to update this thing more regularly-- but Leah has decided that even giving me 20 minutes off is just too much to ask...and it seems like anytime I finally get time to actually sit down at this computer, she wakes up and needs me!

ANYWHO-- we had Leah's 2 week appointment already this past Wednesday. The good news-- she grew 3/4 of an inch taller and is at a whopping 20 1/2 inches which is the 85 percentile. Her head circumference was 14.5 inches which is 89 percentile... however the bad news--- she only gained 5 ounces since she had left the hospital. So that puts her at 7 lbs, 3 ounces-- 39 percentile. Not the greatest. The pediatrician wanted to me to try supplementing formula after the breastmilk for a couple days, so we had to go back Friday just for a weight check, and she had only gained a 1/2 ounce in 2 days, so, now its straight formula, 3 ounces, every 3 hours until Tuesday, and the little girl better gain! Eric said "who knew our child would have trouble gaining weight?!" :) No kidding! So hopefully she's just slow in the process but will gain by our appointment Tuesday.

Other than that, Grandma Linn came down this week and was here with us from Tuesday through Friday to help Mommy and Daddy out. It was nice to have her here to help out, and Mommy got some good naps in while she was here!

We also had a couple more visitors-- Aunt Lindsey and Amy were here to visit us, and Mommy's friend Jess also stopped by to meet Leah. Also from last week, Paula, Gabe and Carson brought us pizza for supper and came and hung out with us for a couple hours. Yay for all the great company!!

Also since my last post was Easter! We went back to Greene, went to church at 9:00 (and we weren't even late!) and then had lunch at my parents house with Erics parents and both of our grandparents. Leah did great at church-- I think she may have been the only baby not screaming :)
